I'm not sure that this article is relevant today. ASP.NET Core allows us to build crossplatform solutions, has a really high performance and is really suitable for both startups and enterprise.

while ASP.Net is a paid Microsoft platform
— Microsoft owns it.

Why so? To be objective, look at ASP.NET Core, it's open-source and free too.

ASP.NET doesn’t allow for as many irregularities in its code

ASP.NET platform, .NET runtime or C#-compiler?

— It [ASP.NET] operates only on a Microsoft server

It's a lie (Mono and ASP.NET Core).

— [ASP.NET] Not as good as PHP for website development

It's not an objective point of view. Given motivation is poor.

— Based on closed source technology.

It's a lie, as I pointed before.

First of all, thank you for the article.

> In reality, however, there is very little difference between the performance of PHP websites and ASP.NET websites.

Seems, it was the last line of this article for me.
I completely don't agree with it. It has big performance difference, and casualty .NET and PHP are pretty different technologically, it's hard to compare.
